Konstantin Pachikin Mikhailovich

Education: Higher KazSU named after S.M. Kirov (1979), Candidate of Biological Sciences (1992). In different years of scientific activity held positions from engineer to head of the department of geography, genesis and evaluation of soils of the Institute. Area of scientific activity is connected with the genesis and classification of soils, ecological evaluation of the current state of ecosystems, soil, and ecological mapping using remote sensing and computer methods.

Participation in research projects (for the last five years)

  • Scientific and technical program "Problems of irrigated saline soils of the Turkestan region and their solution based on the use of innovative technology to improve soil fertility and productivity" (2018-2020) according to BP 267 "Improving the availability of knowledge and scientific research", subprogram 101 "Program-targeted financing of scientific research and activities”;

  • Grant financing for young scientists of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan: “Assessment of the current state of the soil cover of the Eastern Aral Sea and its transformation as a result of the drying of the Aral Sea” (2020-2022);

Number of publications: Author and co-author of more than 120 scientific papers, including those in highly ranked journals included in International Scientific Literature Databases. Co-author of more than 16 new digital soil maps.
